The AEGEAN Project is a hotel complex located on an out-of-plan plot in Pefkochori, Halkidiki. The plot, situated on a hill, is framed by dense forest and the sea horizon.
Due to the natural terrain of the plot, the project was divided into three sections. These sections are connected through semi-outdoor spaces, ensuring proper ventilation throughout the complex. The first section extends at the same level as the upper floor of the second section, while the ground floor of the second section aligns with the ground floor of the third section. The creation of distinct outdoor spaces was carefully designed to provide direct access to the complex's water features. Key design elements of the project include the orientation of each section to offer direct views of the sea and to ensure their privacy.
The building volumes feature simple lines, single-pitched roofs, and specially designed awnings for sun protection for each apartment.
